Malabrigo Dos Tierras
Once again, Malabrigo has created another spectacular yarn! Dos Tierras is a wonderful blend of Merino wool (50%) and Baby Alpaca (50%). Dos Tierras means Two Lands, reflecting the sources of the two amazing fibers found in this ultra-soft yarn. By spinning together 50% fine Uruguayan Merino wool with 50% baby alpaca from Peru, Malabrigo has created a DK weight yarn that is as versatile as it is beautiful.
The colorways you can get with Dos Tierras are excellent. The remarkable stitch definition and the range of colors that are available in this beautiful yarn make it an excellent choice for any project. A beautiful example of how this yarn works up is the Hyannis Cowl by Debbie O'Neill. Dos Tierras is a joy to work with and the quality of the yarn is a sure guarantee that a work of art will come off your needles.
This DK weight yarn is amazing for any project that is worn next to the skin, and gives a whole new meaning to the word "soft". We have seen it used in stunning cowls, and can picture it in a variety of projects. Some of the colors are solid and some are variegated, making this a fun yarn to use on a project that mingles two different colorways.
