The Mad Scientist Sock Society is a club for beginning and intermediate sock knitters.  Sign up and you will receive a monthly bag containing a sock pattern appropriate for your skill level and a beautiful skein of hand dyed yarn.  You find a nice notion bag containing the goodies you need to make your sock.  Included with your subscription is a series of links that give you videos showing step by step instructions for knitting a great sock.  If you are a beginner, this is a way to learn how to knit socks from your arm chair.  

The intermediate bag contains1 skein of hand dyed fingering weight yarn, and a 15gm mini skein for contrasting cuff, heel, and toe.  The patterns are picked with the intermediate knitter in mind.
