EH002: Wet Felted Wool Slippers

Wet Felted Wool Slippers:

I don’t need to tell you about all the benefits of felted wool slippers…but I will. 

Warm and cozy, water resistant and insulating, durable and beautiful - because you’ll make them just how you want them. 

The Particulars:

* In this 2 day class you’ll design and make a pair of felted slippers. 

* After sign-up you’ll receive a document that provides instructions for making a template as well as fiber choices, quantity of material needed.

* In class we'll go over shape & design options (short or tall, pull tabs, lace up and options for adding soles).

* Two- 4.5 hour sessions 

* $180 plus materials (approximately $30)

*5 person minimum (bring a friend!)

Some knowledge or experience with wet felting is desirable but not necessary
Requirements:
Student is required to purchase materials for the class. Cost may vary depending on the fibers selected. $30 is an approximation.

Instructor Bio:
Elyse holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work has been exhibited widely throughout the region most recently at Spokane Art School.
The most prominent material to capture her attention is wool with the myriad ways it can be transformed by the most ordinary substances; water, soap, hands and needles. The transformation process enriches her conceptual interests in nature and human existence.
