JO102: Rigid Heddle Weaving Class: Making Cotton Wash Cloths

Rigid Heddle Weaving Class: Making Cotton Wash Cloths is the perfect way for a beginner to learn to weave.  The class will teach you the basics.  You learn the structure of the loom, it's parts, and the tricks weavers know to make things easier!  Learn how to plan your little project!  Calculate the amount of thread you need and learn how to direct warp you loom.  You leave the first class with your loom set to take home and weave on!  The second class, you learn how to finish your piece of cloth.

If you don't have a rigid heddle loom yet, you can find one here.  The thread is included with the class but we also carry several colors in the same type of yarn (3/2 cotton).  We carry Beam by Gist Yarn in the following colorways:  Mist, Lilac, Jam, Natural, Jade, Cobalt, Toffee, Aqua, and Pacific.  Each cone has 630 yards.

Plan on spending 2 hours in the first class threading your loom. You will be weaving by the time you leave the class!  Weave the rest of your project at home and bring it to the second class.  The second class you will learn how to finish your weaving project.  The best part is taking it off the loom!!!  SO EXCITING!!!
