CB1001: Create and Construct your own shawl



Christiana will teach us how to create and construct our own shawl design. You will Learn different types of increases and where to place them in a pattern to create different shapes and sizes of shawls. This class is intended for knitters with basic to advanced knitting skills.

You will learn to adapt a lace stitch pattern or use simple knit and purl stitches to create your "one of a kind" shawl. If you want to use a lace pattern, you must be able to read a chart.

Bring one or two skeins of fingering or lace weight yarn, knitting needles size 2, 2.5, 3, or 3.5 with an 80-100 cm length cord (30"-40").(Your Preference on the size of needles depends on how loose or tight you knit.) You can bring some left over fingering yarn to test gauge. Paper, pencils, erasers and a few little gadgets will be provided.  

Be prepared to have a great time and learn a lot.
