101EC: Beginning Knitting



Beginning knitting is designed for anyone who wants to learn the basics of knitting.  You learn the basic knit and purl stitch.  The project you will make is a simple scarf and learn the basic stitches you will need for future knitting projects.  The scarf is designed to have knit and purl work, yarn over stitches, increase and decrease stitches
The recommended yarn is available for purchase along with the recommended needles.


  • No experience required.
  • Cascade 220 superwash Merino yarn is recommended  (click here)
  • Knitting Needles US 10 single pointed (click here )
  • No refund for missed classes but we do makeups and extra time if needed.
  • We guarantee fun, laughing, and individual attention!
  • Classes are weekly and you get 4 sessions, 2 hours each session.

If you have never picked up knitting needles, this class is for you. We teach you to cast on, knit, purl, and decrease.
Materials Included:
Student must purchase yarn and needles. Supplies available for purchase.

Liz is a careful knitter and is very good at correcting mistakes. She has knit for a number of years and is a good teacher. She is young and full of excitement about teaching knitting.
