The Ramona is made with Chunky yarn on US 9 knitting needles.  We recommend Cascade Chunky Yarn click here.   You can find just the right needle here too!  Click here.

The project goes quickly because of the yarn and needles.  You will learn the tricks and nuances of knitting a sweater.  The Ramona is knit all in one piece from the top-down. The sleeves are raglan so no seams to do. You learn how to shape the yoke.  The  body is worked in one piece from top to hem with options for waist shaping or no.    We teach you how to knit the sleeves on circular needles by the magic loop method.  Double pointed knitting needles can be used instead.  We teach both ways!

Because this Cardigan has buttons, you learn how to pick up and knit stitches to create a neckline to create the neck trim. Finally, make a button band by picking up  along each front edge.

The only thing left to do is put on the buttons, put on the sweater, and enjoy being cozy in this cold weather!

• Four two hour classes
• Classes held on Thursday afternoons from 4-6pm

• You may purchase supplies before class starts in store or online. Arrive 30 minutes early to shop for your supplies.
• You may bring your own yarn and needles. Yarn must be chunky and needles US 9s.  
• Bring a tape measure if you have one.
